What is “5 and Under”?
A competitive home for newer curlers
Curling’s “5-and-Under” category is for players with five years of experience or fewer — a division pioneered by USA Curling to give adult novice curlers a competitive environment on par with what youth categories provide for younger players. Many countries don’t yet have a formal version of this category, and the 5U World Championship exists to change that.

Our Mission
Growing the sport, together
The Five and Under World Championship was founded to foster international amateur competition in curling — promoting opportunities for newer players to grow as competitors, building the 5-and-Under category in countries where it doesn’t yet exist, and representing the sport’s spirit of global friendship on a world stage.
